Bandsaw Light!

I have that Lee Valley light, I keep it on my MFT/3. I think the light output is not optimum for a band saw, even with the ability to adjust the beam of light, I just think there is not much "oomph" there.

I have one of these from Rockler on my band saw and my lathe. I use an LED floodlight and get a ton of extra light where I want it. The base is magnetic and so far the light stays put

I have five of the Lee Valley lights and use them on several machines including the bandsaw and MFT/3.

They work great, but they do consume batteries, so I recommend you get a charger and a supply of NiMH AA batteries.  They run on 3 at a time.

I use this charger:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FWXTK0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

With the charger, I've been very happy with the light.  A set of batteries lasts about 90 minutes of full use with plenty of brightness.

I prefer Moffatt lamps on my machinery and of the non-magnetic type.  There are several different mounting and length options available and they have a metal shield covering the bulb.
