Bar JOB (Take 2)

I didnt go for full stace because they cost alot more money I did look at them and almost bought  full stave but I had already priced the job and it would eat into my profit.   Like I said the clients wanted a not to fancy bar just more practical but nice looking.

So I thought butchers block worktops will do just fine.  I personally on my own bar would have full stave I always recommend full stave to people when fitting kitchens but pretty much every one doesn't wanna pay the extra cost.

I prefer wide full stave over strips full stave but again the cost is even higher.

Ah I have ya now  [smile] I guess that was a premade worktop from some where and then cut to length and required angles.

You have three main types of solid worktops you can buy dude.

Butchers block which is what most people buy for kitchens cheapest option

Then you have full stave which are full length strips

Then you have wide full stave which are full lengths but wider.

Example price difference  example
full stave oak.         2M x 620 x 40mm £235
Butchers block oak  2m x 620 x 40mm £100

I like it JMB. Looks like a nice smooth finish.
Wood is supposed to draw the eye and even take the hand to feel the grain and I think the block or pieced top  definitely does that as opposed to having full length top. Well done!
Those round top carriage doors are badas too.

Ya know JMB ya sort of let me down on this project.

i noticed ya finished the project and there was still beer left in the fridge.

I am very disappointed .

I am very sad

The client did say I could take what I want while I was working there.

Thing is I don't really drink. once in a blue moon!
