Bathroom cabinet carcasses

Hi

I've got to build some bathroom cabinets.  Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on what is the bast material.  I'm thinking about MDF or maybe birch faced ply  Would WBP ply be better than the birch faced?  How about MFC?

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

It depends entirely on the circumstances. Most bathroom cabinets are made from MFC, but if they're going in a wetroom they won't last long.

If it's a very small bathroom, with a powerful shower in it combined with poor extraction, you're going to need something more durable than you would in a large, well-ventilated one.

It also depends on what finish you want. Do you want a wood grain? Or painted? Or something else entirely?

It is a small bathroom and likely to get quite damp.  Ideally I'd like a high gloss painted finish so would also appreciate advise about finishing products.
