Hi guys I just finished this bathroom remodel this evening. I made a new sink unit with solid oak worktop, boxed in behind the toilet, new bath panel and filled in the space in between the end of the bath and shower wall with a cabinet.

Finish looks nice, but be prepared for a callback. In my experience lacquer and any moisture don't play well together.

I have used laquer before in bathrooms without any problem but the client has also been advised to wipe any moisture off the worktop as quick as possible

No the budget wouldn't allow to spray MDF plus the ivory chipboard is prefinished and only needs to be cut to size and edged with iron on edging.

Is the plumber on dope buddy? Who sets a toilet like that?,,, Nice Oak!

The toilet is known as a low level toilet in this part of the world . It is an old style of toilet where there is a short length of flush pipe between the cistern and the pan, perfectly acceptable method of fitting and  untill the introduction of ' close coupled' toilets it was  the most  common and  preffered method of fitting a toilet .

Thanks for clearing that up Dave. I'm not up with plumbing terms to be honest.

Happy to help .  I appreciate how difficult it can be to ' tart up ' an old bathroom , nice job .

Thanks for the info Dave, I figured something like that.,,, Here in Canada a Toilet  is about $150.  Just makes me wonder sometimes , All that custom woodwork and no $ for a new toilet.

Looks great!
I think I would have made two small doors on the tall cabinet rather than just one, but it doesn't take anything away from the look.

Makes me chuckle sometimes when customers want everything boxed in and the cost is greater than changing items within the bathroom as they dont  want the ' inconvenience' involved .
