I've never had an issue with a Festool battery, with one exception, and the batteries I got with my T18 a decade ago are still going strong. That exception was a newer blutooth battery that ended up having a problem with the HKC. Battery would charge fully, but when I hooked it up to the saw, it wouldn't power it, and a different colored light would go (I forget if the light came from battery or saw). Turns out there was a known compatibility issue between certain bluetooth batteries and that particular saw (I never really understood the explanation, but others mentioned it when I brought the topic up on the FOG) -- so my dealer simply allowed me to swap the battery for a new one that worked just fine.
