Beach Hut Bird Box - Video

Hi Everyone,

I was asked my wife told me to make a smart looking bird box as a present for a friend. I came up with the idea of something that looked a little bit like a beach hut.

If I had bothered to do a proper drawing I would have made it much more simply but having filmed everything I thought that I would share it with you anyway.

I saw this the other day and thought it was a nice departure from your usual videos Peter.  Great job on this fun project.

The one thing that came to mind while viewing it was "where the heck would we be without brad nailers?" I was trying to imagine building this without one, it would be an exercise in frustration. I think we've all been there.

Hey double P this was a great fun video. One of these days Ill be getting around to building a bird house.

I really liked the "use me" on the push stick. Nice touch. Since my accident and shop reorg, I store my push sticks with in hand reach of the saw and actually use them now. :>D

Hi Ron

My original push stick of that shape came with a German saw that I used to own. It had all the right words on it only in German so I copied the design and wrote a translation of the original German "I am expendable but your hands are not" and then I wrote "Use me" in bigger letters.

I really like the orange handle push thingy - it has a v groove running along its length and it is perfect for most router table work.
