BenchDogs parallel guides setup - help!

[attachimg=3]Hi all, I have attempted to get email support from BenchDogs themselves, but apparently they are over-run, so I was wondering if anyone here might be able to help me.

I am trying to attach the parallel guides to my Festool track. However, following their instructions, it would appear the tracking adapter bar is simply too big to fit into my parallel guide groove. See photos. I have shown the profile of the track joining bars for comparison. The joining bars fit perfectly, but the others do not.

Am I missing something obvious? Is there any workaround until they can ship me the correct bars?

Many thanks for any help. Phil

I think that parts gets screwed to the bottom of the black rail attachment pieces and then slid into the festool track. It should be perpendicular to the rails they sent. They have installation guides on their website.

From what I can see you have been sent an additional pair of the guide rail adapter bars instead of the bars that connect the T heads to the extrusion. The bar connectors have four grub screws, the connectors that join the T heads to the extrusion are the same profile as the bar connectors but have two countersunk hex screws, the rail bars have two grub screws and are a different bigger profile. I have attached some photos that should help.

Many thanks for the replies!

The photos helped a lot.

Yes, it appears I was sent NO bars for the T heads (called "Track Adapter bars" in the photo from BenchDogs I've attached here — they have the same profile as the joiner bars but only 2 holes).

What I have done in their absence is I've used two of the joiner bars (4 holes) and just ignored the two grub screws. The thread for the other two (luckily) seems to be the same as the countersink screws that were sent with the package.

I will contact BenchDogs again (they've been too busy to respond to two of my messages, apparently) and ask them to send me the proper bars.

Thanks again. Phil
