Hi all,

Needing to sand a whole load of torus skirting boards, architraves around a house, so I'm looking for the best way to sand them smooth.

I've got a rotex 90, an RTSC and a Mirka Deros but can't work out the best approach. Is it possible to get an extra soft pad for my RTSC so it'll conform to the torus shape for example?

Are the architraves profiled? If so, then I'd suggest you take a look at the LS130. It is made specifically for those jobs. I needed to do an old house (30's) a while ago and was lucky enough that I could lend one from a friend. I don't do this type of sanding often enough to warrant buying the LS 130. But I have to say it is a real nice sander. It is a bit limited in what it can do, but what it can do it does really well. In that it is a bit like the MKF700 router (which I like a lot!).

Ah useful! That looks like it'll save a heap of time.

It doesn't come in a cordless version yet from what I can see? (Unless I've missed it)

Can't say that I have ever seen a cordless version of that sander. There might be one, but I don't think so.
