Here's a Birch T.V. Unit that I just made and fitted. It's made from birch plywood and sprayed with three coats of laquer.
The doors are wrapped in solid birch as well as the front of the shelves. The doors have no handles and have door poppers.

I used the of 1010 to trim the lipping on the shelves with the angle arm attachment. I also used my trion, ehl 65, mini Hoover, mini cleaning kit, ts 55r and Kapex kps 120 on the fitting!  [big grin]

Nice little project. I have the same TV (not that I watch TV anymore). I like the solid edging on the doors.

Ya there's a join in the plinth caus the only birch ply I could get had ye grain running in the 4' direction and the unit was 1400 long plus fillers. Broken heart to have to do it that way.

Different.  More American style.

I am curious, what makes it American style?

The colour of wood/contrast   is not really seen often in the UK.  I see a lot of it here on FOG from USA fog members only.

I like your style the cave bathroom.

Thanks.

I feel like I read on here that you guys don't really do "built ins" as much.  I maybe thought you were referring to that.

Yeah built ins are not really big over here, i think it is because folk like to buy stuff they take with them if they move

Yeah but its not them being cheapos jmb. Your clients have lots of money and huge houses that require built in to look right. Ive done built ins but norm cheap mdf stuff, except the oak one i did last

Lol  ;D

I don't really do free standing units. I much prefer doing built ins for clients. It's not that much extra work
