I jumped in during the Black Friday Recon sale and bought some tools without much planning on my part.  I picked up some fringe tools like the DWC-18 Plus drywall screwgun, BHC Plus hammer drill, and the HKC 55 Plus.  I also picked up a HL 850 Planer, and another RO 150.  The tools arrived a few days ago and as far as I can tell they appear to be all brand new.  I couldn't be happier with the results even if there may be one or two tools I don't have an immediate need for.  I'm curious if anyone received tools that did not appear to be new.

I ordered a 3 and 6 ah battery. They shipped me a 3 ah and two 6 ah batteries. New condition, win in my book.

Many tools thru the recon program have had little usage.  The 30 day use or return program in NA does lead to tools that are used for a project and then returned.  But there are others also.  So if you are expecting almost new you are reaching too high.

Just keeping it real.

I just got my corded Vecturo a few days ago and it too, looks brand new. It is a recently discontinued item so no telling. It has a manufacture date of August of 2018.

My RTSC full set is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  If I’m happy with the purchase I’ll be buying the ETSC basic to go along with it.

I picked up a TSC 55 REB-Plus/XL-SCA imperial.  Took longer to arrive than I expected so I called.  Festool said they had to re-key all the orders into their accounting system (over 900) BY HAND.  HUH?  REALLY?

Anyway, to the question, everything looked absolutely new.  A great deal!

I ordered a hks 55 and a couple 6.2 airstream batteries and they all looks brand new. Not a scratch, scuff or mark on anything.  Same issues as others with delivery, ordered the day before Thanksgiving and it came this past Wednesday or Thursday

Got my order finally!  I would say it appears as new but it seems like it’s moved around a lot.  There are some scuffs from vibration in the packaging. But so far it looks just fine.

I don’t see the link.  Not sure if there is an issue with posting YouTube links here?

I ordered 3 tools, a T18, RO125, and a TS55.  All of them has signs of use but it was obvious that the previous owner didn’t own it that long.

And if you think you got a brand new tool, don’t kid yourself. The only way i could see that happening is if its a discontinued tool.  Those tools that look brand new were probably barely used.

To add a link, click on the icon just under the Italic icon. A form will pop, paste in the address link and press "ENTER". Another form will pop to input a text. Type something relevant or not and hit "ENTER" again. If you did that already and your link do not appear, it's most likely because the forum software detected an invalid character from the link you pasted.

Nope.  It may have seen a scuff or two somewhere In the factory but there is no way it’s been used for sanding anything.  Not only have I bought things, but I’ve cleaned things too!  This sa nder is unused & the systainer is immaculate.  I’m sure there are several reasons why they may choose to sell direct.  This is my 7th festool purchase and it was wrapped exactly like the rest bought at full price from authorized retailers.  Trust me, if there were any reason to believe any different I would be reporting it.

Got my Kapex last Thursday. I was wondering if it would ever come. It looks good so far but have not had time to try it out yet. I’m so happy for the opportunity to get one for $880. I lost my DeWalt in Hurricane Harvey and the Kapex was only a couple hundred more than another DeWalt or Mikita. Thanks Festool!
