Nice.  Except for the wall with the chest of drawers, highboy baseball cap rack, circuit breaker panel, and treadmill.  That's a bit of visual fingernails-scratching-chalkboard for me.  Please make it stop!

Stunning work. Beautiful kitchen. Love the red contrasts with the stainles steel, is that the natural colour of the wood? Never seen such red wood before. Only the choice for the 3 drawers right beneath the stove seem a bit odd to me, wouldn't a cabinet for pots and pans be more practical? And the light switches seem rather cheap to me compared with the high class look of the rest of the kitchen, would have put something with a more classy design there. But very good work overall.  [thumbs up]

You're quite correct Tom. We are looking for new stools but haven't found what we like  yet.

Yes, that is the natural color, only clear top coat on it. You are right about the plate covers and I'll be replacing those. Due to the down draft unit there is only room for 12'' deep drawers under the stove top. Not really big enough for my pots and pans.

Here in the states,most pots&pans cabinets are large drawers.

I really like the robust hardware - it is a nice complement to some rather beautiful cabinetry. I am also a big fan of the liberal use of drawers for the base cabinets - I find them much more functional than doors. The raised end panels are a nice touch as well. VERY nice work.

Hey Rich, nice looking kitchen. Can you post a nice close up pic of how you mounted the drawer sides to the drawer fronts? Perhaps some close ups of how you constructed the drawer boxes as well......if it's not too late !! Nice work !

Based on Paul Marcel's comments I took a look and even more WOW.  I downloaded the image posted and then altered the levels in raw format and tried to show the fabulous woodgrain.  Other than dealing with lighting and exposure nothing in this image has been altered.

Now, if my family room wasn't Sendai red, I'd seriously consider this when I remodel the kitchen.
