Bluetooth battery pairing profile retention or using it wrong?

Hello, I have a number of cordless tools ( see sig line ), and the 18v 4.0 and 5.2 airstream batteries ( and an 18v Ergo as well ).  I plug this stuff into my CT36E Hepa with the BT module.

It seems I need to hit the CT's BT module pairing button each time I fire the tools up, for their batteries to be recognized and the vacuum to come on.  I was expecting the pairing to be once at the beginning and then be retained.  I do unplug the CT36 when not in use.  Is this normal expected operation?

Thx. Simon

I believe that the dust collectors can remember up to 5 devices, but I don't remember in what combination of remotes and batteries.

The pairing should be in NVRAM (Non-volatile RAM) to re-pair even after powering off.  My CT-MIDI acts that way, at least; I've never needed to re-pair the remote on the end of the hose.

Thanks Squall_line... interesting.  I wonder if it's remembering the device or the battery? (I have 5 batteries + the hose button)

I'll try a more scientific approach tomorrow and document what's going on.

I never need to re-pair the hose remote but if I switch the CTM26 off I have to pair my HKC saw again.
Its no biggie though.
Oh and I think if I remove the battery from my saw then put it back into a the tool its still paired but I'm not positive about that.

Also, check the battery firmware and update it if necessary using the Festool Work app.
