er, uh, I mean wrapper.  [wink]

But seriously, I just received the second Fespurchase from Bob and I swear, he went to MIT and participated in the how-to-land-a-rover-on-Mars-without-damage R&D experiments.  The cardboard box was seriously UPSed with smashed corners, broken seals and the overall appearance of having gone through shipping Armageddon.  But when I opened the box, my tools were sleeping like babies.

And I ordered this on Friday...  [smile]

Agreed! Bubble wrap to the rescue! I don't think Bob has his hands in the actual shipping, but the warehouse certainly does protect things quite well---  :)

I have it on good authority that Bob painstakingly inflates every bubble wrap cell himself, with great personal care  [big grin]

Thats correct. He has a little mouthpiece with hose and blows each one up !

I agree. I think Festool products are dropped shipped. But I will say Julie his support (including knowledge) before and after sale is the best. No reason to buy elsewhere.

Julie and All,

Thanks for the kind words!
It's funny that you posted on shipping because that is what I spoke to my warehouse people about - taking some pics and send sending an email blast about that.
Just to clarify, the days of me receiving Festool  stock and picking, bubble wrapping, boxing, weighing, label printing, charging the credit cards and waiting for the UPS driver in my NJ garage/shop have been over for about 4 years. It made no sense time wise for me to spend 5 hours a day doing that.

Anyhow, 95% of my shipping is from my Ohio fulfillment company and they over pack - as you can tell by the amount of bubble wrap they use.  The other 5% or so gets dropped shipped from Festool.

Bob

I know it took me at least 5 minutes to get that Domino unwrapped that I got last week from Bob.  Great job.

It became quite clear to me that Bob outsources his shipping a couple years ago when I received a box with his return label on the outside, but pink shoes from puma.com on the inside.  Bob's first response when I called and explained the situation was, "Well, I'm glad I was sitting down for this."  Bob was great though.  Within a couple days a new shipment arrived with my desired Festools and he had sent UPS out to get the shoes.

In the end, I found the whole thing quite amusing.  :)

Pink has never been my color.

Since the Puma invoice was inside, it was tempting to call the woman that ordered them and ask if she had my tools.  In the end, I decided it was best to keep my nose out of it and let Bob get things straightened out.

I've read many times how good Bob's customer service is, but it wasn't until I had a problem that I experienced first hand what many were talking about.  I've ordered from Bob several times and, as Julie says, received the orders within a few days. But when there is a problem Bob goes above and beyond to make things right. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to a friend.
