I want to use my LR32 system to drill the holes for my drawer slides, but not sure what I need to install in my router in regards to a drill bit for the screw holes?  Do I buy a small insert / chuck to adapt the drill bit to the router?

I doubt that regular drill bits are meant to be used in a router.

For holes for mounting drawer slides I use the 5mm bit that is part of the LR32 set with 5mm Euro screws (Lee Valley) to mount the drawer slides.  All of the slides I have used in the last 5+ years have two sets of holes, one for the typical #6/#8 pan head screws that are (sometimes) supplied and another for 5mm screws which are quite a bit beefier.

The Euro screws are PosiDrive so the Blum or similar driver (or the PosiDrive bits in the Centrotec sets) are nice to have as well.

The standard 5mm bit that comes with the LR 32 is perfect for the mounting screw holes.  One note - read carefully the instructions that come with the glides you select.  They will inform you regarding the spacing between holes.  For example, Accuride glides use the standard 37mm inset for the first hole, then add either 128 or 96mm for the next increments.  You can use these numbers to set up your LR 32.

One additional thing - I like the square-drive glide screws from McFeely's.
