Here is my latest video review on the Bosch VAC090S dust extractor.  I've used the Festool extractor before in another shop briefly and really liked it as well.  The fact that Festool comes standard with anti static hose and a HEPA filter is nice compared to the Bosch which I mention in my final ratings as a mark against the Bosch.  I do like the extra CFM that the Bosch has though.  Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

I tried both the Festool CT36 and (in the UK) Bosch GAS 35L. The Bosch had both more air pressure as well as volume and it was a noticeable difference when connected to a router cutting MDF.

Good to see that Bosch is starting to use some of Festool principals and system approach to better their lineup. I've checked out some of things they have copied from Festool, holey trac rail and their version shelf hole jig. The ability to put their version of systainer on the vac also works for those using Bosch tools. Hope you also posted this on the Bosch forum.

Excellent review.  Thorough and well paced.  Your tone and cadence made it easy to absorb all the info you were conveying.

I have a lot of Bosch tools (as many Lboxxes as Systainers) and I find their drills, jigsaws, routers, and multitools very competitive with Festool (and others).  As somebody else has said, the "system" approach advocated by Festool has been good for the entire industry as others have started to define their own "systems".

Yes I did post it up on the BeThePro forum as well.  There has been a lot of discussion around the Bosch vacs on BTP and that discussion played a big part in selling me on the Bosch.  Like you mentioned about the system approach that is what made the Bosch vac make a lot of sense for me since I have all of my gear set up in L-boxxes and a lot of my portable power tools are Bosch as well so it all integrates together.

Thanks very much for the comments and feedback, I really appreciate that.  I got into the "system" approach a few years ago with the L-boxxes and a lot of the Bosch tools and it really does make a big difference in terms of efficiency and overall ease of use.  I'm going to do a video at some point on all the different custom setups that I have in my L-boxxes with the layered foam.
