BP 18 Li 8,0 HP-ASI Out of Stock Everywhere in the US - Festool inventory issue or might the TBX 8 be coming soon?

Basically the BP 18 Li 8,0 HP-ASI is out of stock everywhere except as part of the new Energy Set SYS 18V 2x8,0/2xSCA16.

Do people think that this is because Festool USA might be releasing the new tabless BP 18 TBX 8 ASI in the US sometime soon (though Festool hasn't exactly been on the ball releasing them in Europe) or do you think this is just due to Festool's ongoing inventory issues?

I just wanted two of the 8.0 batteries, but will get the Energy Set if that's the only way as the SCA 16 chargers are way cool, yet will feel stupid if the BP 18 TBX 8 ASI comes out in the US next month or so - keeping in mind that prices are probably going up in general due to copper prices and such.

TBX packs will see the main boost in their 4.0 variety. The bigger packs tax the cells less and thus have much less room for improvement ..

So getting the "basic" packs is not such a bad idea .. given they are on the market for some time and are "proven". I concur ref. the SCA 16. A pair of these is what you want.
