Brand new TS 55REBQ won't start

Hello. My new TS 55 REBQ is dead on arrival. I have connected the 230 V (europe) cord and turned the knob to the right as far as I can. And yes, I have connected the cord to the wall outlet...
I push the buttons. No sign of life in my saw!
Is it something I have forgot?

Hm.
The fast-fix is known to stop the machine from turning on after a rough transport at times, cycling it once (including extending the blade to change position) usually unsticks this. When you press the trigger (while holding lock button ontop that is reachable by the thumb) do you hear the click of the switch?

Apart from that: Check if the socket actually has power.

If that won't help: contact your dealer to send you a replacement and a return shipping label for you lemon.
 
I tried the fast-fix again, includeing extending the blade to the change position. No change.
I do hear a clear click when pressing tre trigger.
The contact has power, measured with my Fluke.

However, it is very hard to turn the contact ring to the tight position. I have to loosen the knobs and put the saw in 45 degree position to be able to turn the ring all the way.

I will definitely be att my dealers door 6:30 Monday morning. I guess I have to accept that there will be no sawing-bonaza this weekend... :)
 
As with the CTL MIDI above, my local Festool dealer gave me a new TS 55 saw this morning. The new one works pefectly. Thanks Gregor for trying to help.
Now I'm thinking about writing a letter to the Festool Quality Departement, if there is such a thing. Two brand new products, non-working straight from the box, that is in my view not acceptable.  :-[
