I stepped on my Kapex cord today as it was plugged into the vac  [mad] and snapped off the right prong.  Is there anything special I need to know before I head to the hardware store tomorrow to get a fix?

By memory, it should be just a two-prong, polarized plug.  There's nothing special about Festool plugs, if that's what you're asking.

One thing you need to know is dont get your hand jacked up using a screw driver to push the replacement plug together

I don't suppose you're speaking from experience...

I went to Lowes and got my replacement plug - that lights up green when plugged in and everything is kosher.  How sweet is that!

OK, NOW you have bragging rights over everyone with that!!!!  [tongue]
what brand was the plug at Lowes. I've seen Pre-Molded Ext. Cords that have internal Power lights, but not replacement plugs.. [blink]
