Hi

Here is my cheap version of a beltsander "unit" for the BS75 and MFT 3. I have taken advantage of that the holes on the sander for fixing the bench unit is spaced 192mm apart (2x96mm). Used two angle brackets to mount it sideways/lying on the MFT. A 8 mm piece of ply is on the table to get the work surface up to the level of the sander/paper.

The flat top on the BS75 certainly invites fixturing, doesn't it? What you did is quick, simple, and effective. I like it!

Too bad that's another NAINA item...

Thanks, I wanted to get the festool insert but man that one is pricey

Glad you like it. The thing I dislike about the BS120 insert for the CMS is that it's not the traditional beltsander that can be removed from the unit and used separately. If I was to get a "stationary" beltsander I personally would not go the CMS way. That said I still want the CMS with some other inserts.  [wink]

That's a nice trick there, thanks for showing.. I will get the CMS GE this year, probably will find out that the Beltsander 120 insert would be a good addition to the setup, so if I find one for the right price....

But I agree it's a shame that the 120 unit can't be used on it's own though I think it would be a bear to manage...
