Budget friendly walnut built in/shelves

Walnut  plywood floating shelves  are basically boxes with mitered edges ,and finished with hand applied Emmett's Good Stuff. Installed 2x6 cleat on fireplace  and wall to hang  shelves onto. Cheap & easy... Built-in carcass, end panel, counter top, & doors are walnut ply with walnut edge tape. Counter top nosing is solid walnut.   Homeowner pick out door hardware, I think it's hideous (IMHO ).  Just wanted to share this project with fog, hope you like it.          Cheers, David

Exactly , like a torsion box & fastened with pocket screws from inside. They run  shy an 1  3/4" in depth to allow room for 2x6 cleat.  I should have taken pics of interiors when building them. Thanks for the question,    David
