Buffing, polishing wax with Rotex 125

I have come into possession of a Rotex 125 sander. I would like to use it to apply and buff wax on my bench top. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what specific accessories I need for this and what the steps are.  I have read the owners manual but it isn’t clear to me. So I’m wondering what backing pad and what sponges or bonnets I need to do this. And in what order.

Download the new 2020 festool catalog....on page 150 they outline all the accessories you need to polish, etc with that unit. the big thing to watch out for, is that you always need to keep moving when doing this type of work. It is very easy ti burn the surface.

Another area of the catalog to review in the shinex....that is the machine specially designed to do what you want. Most of the concepts are similar between both units.

What sort of finish is on the bench top?  Just wax over the wood or some other film finish?
