Build up on ETS 150/5 sandpaper

The other day I was extending some window and door jambs. Bondo was used for the filler and loaded up fast on the Rubin sandpaper I was using. The Bondo was dry, but, I was not using a vacuum. Was it the wrong paper or do I need the vacuum connected for this kind of sanding?

I think you've answered your own question - twice.

Bondo filler, like many other synthetic fillers, acts rather different than wood. So Rubin may not be the best choice, to say the least.
Brilliant would better, Crystal would be better still. Titan would supposedly be even better,but I haven't tried it myself. The new "Granat" paper might be very well suited as well.

Then again: hook up a DC whenever possible. Your finish, your paper and your lungs will love you for it.

Rubin is best for bare wood. Try  to use Crystal, and reduce speed to lower level.

My experience with Crystal on bondo is terrible. It clogged up like crazy. Brilliant or Granat do fine.

I think the Brilliant paper may be one of their best papers, I really like cristal though too.
