I was building a shipping crate today and ran one of the batteries down. I put it in the charger and in about 15 minutes or so the red overheating light came on. The charger was sitting in the sun so I'm wondering if that is what caused the light to come on. Any ideas? Battery seems to work OK but seems odd that it doesn't like being out in the sun. Should I put sunscreen on it :-)

The sun could warm up a black battery case pretty quick. If the charger can catch that and keep from cooking the battery I would call that a really good thing.

Cover it with BMW leather upholstery.  (Just kidding! but BMW claims to have leather that is treated with infrared [heat] reflecting properties.)

Uh, red light blinking on charger, icon indicates overheating and I feel totally dehydrated and woozy. Hey Mark, do you think... just a wild idea, that it is HOT!???
