C12: no way to tell if it's in drill or driver mode

Subject says it all: on the C12 there is a two-position switch, but no icon
or other positive identification as to which position does what: drill (higher speed & no clutch) or
driver (clutch). Instead the two positions are just labeled "1" and "2", and so if
it has been a whilesince you've used it you have to experiment to figure
out which is which.

Nitpicky, yes, but it's all about the interface...

1 and 2 are the speed ranges. There is a swith that slides across from side to side that controls torque. Drill setting is at the far left, IIRC. The drill is not in front of me.

Drill or driver "mode"? There's slow and fast. Clutch is used in either situation. While I personally don't usually drill at low speed, I certainly "drive" at high speed when I can.

The torque break away will be different when on the same setting in speed 1 vs 2.  You'll need to figure out what torque setting you need/want to use given the speed that you are driving.

Chris...

I'll check it out tonite.

On most similar devices, one of the two modes has a) higher speed and b) no clutch. This is the
setting for drilling. The other setting tends to be lower speed and clutch-enabled (for driving
screws).

I meant to verify this last night but will do it tonite.
