c12 replacement battery 3Ah...too heavy :-(

Had to finally replace my c12 batteries but the original ones have been discontinued and the only replacement is the 3Ah: http://www.festoolusa.com/products/cordless-drills/batteries-and-chargers/battery-12v-3ah-nimh-494522.html

Too heavy and throws the balance of the drill off. Its almost as heavy as my 14.4 Hilti Hammer now!

Bummer the new Li-Ion's are backwards compatible...

Just to explain... the NiCd batteries were discontinued due to environmental regulations in Europe.

There are members who have gotten their NiCd batteries rebuilt. A search brings up a few threads on the topic.
