C15, 4.2 Ah info

Just an FYI, both the product website and the catalog indicate that the C15 with 4.2 Ah batteries comes in a Sys1.  It actually comes in a Sys2. The on line registration allows you to select the drill part number (564519), but not the set part number (564520).

Thanks for the heads up. The Systainer size changed with the very recent introduction of the 4.2Ah models. I have updated our drill website to reflect the change.

For registration purposes, we only need to know the tool being registered. Accessories are not warrantied, so no need to differentiate between set/non-set.

Shane, does that mean that if a right angle chuck were to break, Festool would not cover this under warranty at all? Also If one's entire drill Set was stolen, would you only receive a new drill and batteries (without any of the chucks) through festool's theft protection/warranty service?

I think there's plenty of evidence here on the forum that we take care of our customers. If the chuck broke due to a manufacturer's defect, we would repair or replace it.

Regarding the theft protection, that's not something we offer in the U.S./Canada and your warranty policies are different in the UK. I would suggest you read your applicable warranty or contact Festool UK with any specific questions.

Many thanks for the response Shane!  I know festool are great, was just interested to find out the accessories in a set are not 'officially' covered.

I'll look into the theft protection over here in the UK.  Did not realise that US customers don't get this great service. It's a real part of the consideration of the Cost of festool equipment, for me at least.
