Can anyone tell me there best technique for preventing tear out when running cabinet door material? Not on the copes. I have zero problem with this part. It's running the profile on the stiles and rails. I keep getting minor tear out on both the front and back side. This happens using soft maple, oak, poplar or whatever. I've tried making multiple small passes, one slower pass, etc. The bits were new when I got them and have only made maybe 50 or so doors. Could it just be a little dull? Don't wanna waste my $ on another set unless needed.
I'm also seriously considering the 3 hp shaper from Grizzly for my door parts and use the router table (Benchdog) for something else. Thoughts?
