Can cross cut a 1200mm sheet of ply with a 1400mm rail and TS55?

Hi everyone, first post for me, I'm in Oz and am currently putting together a list of tools to buy when I set up my new handyman shed/workshop. The list is quite extensive and has lots of Festool items on it.... [big grin]
I have done a ton of reading and viewing on you tube etc, and still don't have a clear idea in my head if it is possible to cross cut a full sheet of 1200mm ply using the 1400mm rail with a TS55?
I am looking at the 3000mm for the long cuts and a 1400 holey rail for the LR 32 and don't want to have to buy a 1700mm rail if not required.
I realise the 1700mm would make the cut possible and easy, but am wondering if I could get away with using the 1400mm rail and a little patience?.

1400 is fine for that.

As long as you're cutting perpendicular it's all good, but add an angle and you're going to find yourself short.

It's really a shame that they don't do a LR32 longer than the 2424 ... You really do need the 2700 or 3000 for the long cuts.

I have a couple of 1400' rails and a 2400 which I use mainly for cutting down doors, they all fit in the truck and if I use connectors with the rails I can cut anything. I bought the 2400 rail off of a friend so it was a bargain but if I was buying new I would get the 2700 rail for ripping full sheets.

Thanks mate, yeah, I'm going to get the MFT3 which comes with a 1080 rail, a 1400 for the LR32 and am torn between the 2700 and the 3000 rail, I figure with the 3000 I 'll be covered for full sheets plus if I want to cut them at an angle I'd be covered there to with it, just wasn't sure if I was being too cute thinking I would be alright for cross cutting full sheets with the 1400 as don't want to spend extra for the 1700 if not really required for that task.
