Can we follow a subject/topic without participating.

Like many I am sure, I often follow a topic without wanting to participate in it. Eg currently the one discussing oil over stain.

Is there a way to do this, or could Shane enable us to express interest in a specific topic/thread so it appears within say 'Topics of Interest' next to 'Unread Posts' when another member adds a reply?
