Can you tint epoxy to make it look like Amber?

Title pretty much says it all.

Anyone tinted for lack of a better description epoxy to make it look like Amber?

I was thinking of the live slab tabletops and it might be cool to fill some of the voids with what looks like embedded sap turned to amber. Maybe stick a bug or two in there or a pine needle to boot.

I was thinking you could use a hypo to inject small pockets of clear epoxy that would look like air bubbles but not leave a void. Drawing the hypo out slowly and dribbling some more epoxy could cause streaks inside for a cool effect too.

Bob if you find trans tint or other dye the color you want and add a few drops to the epoxy after mixing should work perfectly.  Now epoxy not being cheap and don't want to waste, do the same size batch once you get the color, and write down your formula.

You can use pretty much anything that isn't water based.  I have seen people use food coloring.

I was wondering if food coloring would work.
Might be worth experimenting.
I'm looking for a dark honey color.

They aren't cheap but you can get a Mixol set from Amazon that I've had success with using in epoxy.

In my case I added a green tint along with some crushed malachite to fill voids in walnut slabs, turned out great.
