Carbide chain saws

I use a chain saw on occasion like many folks and it seemed like I spent way too much time having to sharpen the chain because of the dirty stuff I was cutting (like root balls I dug up) or accidentally hitting the dirt with the saw. So I looked around and found this place online that sold carbide chains often used in rescue work and it has been great. Going on over 2 years of occasional cutting with no sharpening and it's still blasting through stuff, was just doing some tree cutting today which prompted this post. If anyone is interested I got the chain at http://www.rapcoindustries.com, it's been well worth the extra money for me.

I have the chamfer in hard carbide, paid about $150 in 2010 for the chain for my Husqvarna 16". I got the angle and depth they recommended, don't recall the specifics. It's sold per link so they quote based upon your specific saw.

EDIT: An example of it's effectiveness, I was cutting up a huge root ball and my cut slowed a bit at one point, when the root ball was in half I could see there was a rock embedded in the root cluster and the blade cut the rock in half as well, still cuts like new.
