My Carvex 400 cordless jigsaw is acting up.
When I need to remove the blade the slide sometimes does not move across enough to release the blade, also when putting a new blade the 'chuck' does not revolve enough to get the blade in straight and I sometimes have to shove it round with a screwdriver. Same problem really.
The other problem is that the blade stops in the wrong position, i.e. at the bottom of the stroke so that I cannot remove the blade from the 'chuck'.
I wondered if I should try a squirt of WD40 or perhaps a silicone spray on the 'chuck'part ? or just return it to Festool. This is not my main jigsaw, only one I use if it'sa quick job or too much trouble to get out the mains and power extension lead.
It's been okay apart from this.
