Carvex 420 on sale In germany

Just had a look on eBay Germany and they have the new carvex 420 jigsaw for sale in various voltages / mains or battery , I wonder if these are people just trying to take pre orders as I thought they would not be available to purchase in Europe , maybe Peter parfitt may have some info , over to you Peter. Sorry to all the folks out there but I was dpi ng this post on my I phone and put the post here instead of new tool discussions

It's also on the UK website. Available from today. I've got one coming next week to replace my carvex 400 which has been back to tts 4 times. Let you know how I get on with it, might even attempt a mini review, it won't be as good as jmb's or Dave Reinholds!!

The 420 goes on sale here in Germany on Monday the 3rd. My dealer said thats when they will be released so he thinks it will be a day or to before he has them in the shop. The ebay ads say they are pre sale orders.

Any idea of the price and if it is available in 110 volts? I am asking because I maybe be over to see some friends in Germany within the next few months. I suppose I will have to just pack a pair of socks and underwear so it will fit in my carry-on for the return flight

if it was me i would come over. buy the tool. take the tool out of the sys, put the tool and accesories in my bag then post the inserts (if they wont fit ) then sell the sys on ebay. buy a new sys at home . that way you cant get charged for weight and it cant get lost. if it does its only the insert and a few bits of paper etc. the main value will stay with you

You are just way to creative, I could never have thought up such an idea.

As to the price, the cheapest I have found so far for the mains powered 420 for € 351,57
I would be very surprised if it comes out with 110v so soon, but would hope so for all the Festool lovers the other side of the pond.

The PS420 has been on the UK web site for some time now. I have heard that they will be released next week. My magazine editor has said that he will get me to review one but I have no way of knowing how long that might take or whether he might change his mind at the last minute!

So hopefully it will be with me at the beginning of next week.
