Hi.

Im have to buy a new jigsaw.

I do mostly decks and framing but i also do laminate and wooden flooring, siding, window and door instalations.
Sometimes kitchens and remodeling.

Is the Carvex something for me or isnt it tough enough?
I dont want to break it in a week!

Sorry for the bad english, im from Sweden

The CARVEX is powerful and well made. It will certainly be able to deliver in the areas you work and can address the tasks you perform.

Using the term "tough" sounds a bit like you may abuse your tools and how tough it seems would need to be your decision. I wouldn't want to be dropping it on concrete from a great height!!!

The CARVEX is set apart from mainstream jigsaws by it's refinement, dust collection, features and modular base accessories ... that's a large part of what you're paying for (also it's integration with the Festool system ... track, battery, systainer, etc).

You're also paying for superior warranty and support.

After using a Carvex for over three years to do everything from decks to kitchens, yes it should serve you well.

Thank you!

When i say rough i mean it would be out in the rain, cut rough lumber and will work hard in wold and warm weather.
Not be in a shop and cut 1/2 ply once a week.

I have a couple of Festools already, TS55, midi vac, a couple o guide rails, ets150 and a small but very good CXS and im very happy with them.

My Makita jigsaw is pretty beat now and i was thinking, why not a Carvex?
I also have about 20 systainers so it will fit nice in the van.

Go for the Carvex.  It's a powerful little beast.  I have cut scrolls on 4x12 pergola rafters with it and a 7" jigsaw blade.  I have also put in a tiny blade and the zero-clearance insert and cut plexi and laminates.  Very versatile.

Link to Jigsaw Blades I used.

For most things, the barrel-grip is my choice, , but kinda wished I had the D-handle version when cutting those rafters.

Man, I wouldn't use any power tool in the rain unless it is under some kind of tarp hood or roof.  I don't get what you're really asking. Is the tool going to be mistreated? If so, then buy something used for a few euros. If you're going to take care of the tool, then get something like a Carvex.

I have broken both the 400 and the 420 carvex. Both time the linkage between the motor and pendulum mechansm has broken. I do similar work to yourself and I make my tools work hard.
Both times the tools have been repaired under warranty.

I'd still have the carvex the quality of the cut and the squareness is spot on.
