OK, I feel a bit stupid asking this, but just received my centrotec installers set and am wondering how you open the case for the drill bit set.  There's a dark grey slide with an arrow pointing left with the word open on it, so it seem obvious, but....

it can only slide about 1/8" before it hits a nib sticking out from the front surface of the light gray part of the case bottom.  It appears that you'd have to cut the nib off to get the slide far enough to the left to allow the case to open, but yet doesn't appear that it was meant to be broken/cut off - it looks too solid.

So I thought I'd ask here before I cut off something I shouldn't, am I missing something obvious or does the nib need to be removed?

Thanks.

Thanks Ron, didn't want to cut off and then find out it was there for a reason.

It keeps you from returning it.  [wink]

I'll trade you for some used sandpaper.  Come on!  You broke the tab off!  It's no longer fresh!  [big grin]

[thanks], but no thanks.  Got alllll the used sandpaper I need.

However, I am running low on used chewing gum.  [big grin]

I've got some used chewing gum laced with pine saw dust if you're into blends ...

Glad you asked the Centrotec question - I've  had min set for a couple of weeks now and haven't even opened the systainer - saved me from being the person asking this  [tongue]

You can also take out the piece of foam in the drill bit box compartment and the Zobo bit box fits in perfectly.  Too bad both bit sets won't fit at the same time.
