Chair Making w/TS55 and MFT Combo

I'm in the process of building dining room chairs. While building the prototype it occurred to me that the TS55/MFT combo could be a good way to cut the outside tapers for the back legs and support for the chair. Has anyone ever done it this way? Maybe it won't work. While building the prototype I made a template, rough cut the blank, re-attached the template to the blank, and used a flush trim bit.

I'm planning on purchasing the TS55/MFT combo and this would give me a good reason to purchase it sooner  ;D

Bob, sounds like a plan. Since you place the guide rail on the actual line to cut, I suggest you will not need do use the template and router to finish the leg. How thick is the stock to cut? Be sure that the TS55 depth will handle it. While I love the use of the MFT's, in this case I think I would place a piece of 1" foam either on the MFT or on a worktable so as to not cut marks into the MFT top.
