Cheaper source of Creusen and Tormek products than the UK

I recently decided to buy a Creusen bench grinder and found a cheaper supplier than the UK based ones who all charge a similarly high price. The company is Dictum (www.dictum.com - no affiliation) and they are based in Germany. I ordered a Creusen HP7500TS for 279.00 Euro incl postage to the UK. This works out at £212.00 after exchange rate costs are taken into account (if I can trust Amex's calculator!). Axminster charge £264 for the same item. Dictum are also cheaper for Tormek items. I have no idea yet how good the company are to deal with and obviously I will get a Euro style plug which is a disadvantage (to say nothing about the hassle if there is something wrong with the product).

If anyone is interested I'll update this thread with the outcome.

I've been meaning to try these guys ... looks like they're a serious concern and they ship my way [smile]

Kev, I thought I'd try and wean myself off Stihl gardening tools with some sharpening tools! (already have the Tormek T7).

I'll report back when I receive the machine.

I have ordered since like 5 years many things from them, probably more than 10 orders.  Mostly hand tools like chisels, planes, rulers... and a tormek t-7.

It never had any problems with my orders or the shipping. Everything was well packed and delivered as expected. I'm pretty sure sure you will be happy.
