My OF1400 locking knob somehow got stripped out (maybe I was turning it to tight?  ::) ::)) so I sent it in for repair. It was long out of warranty so I was holding my breath for the repair estimate.  $25!  ;D  Hopefully, I will have it back by Friday.  Need to use it with my MFS.  If that's the worst repair bill I ever have with Festool, that's a good thing.  Did you know if you decide not do any recommended repair, they will ship your tool back to you disassembled?  Yep. Parts in a box.  They won't return a damaged tool to it's owner as they received it.  Liability issues with a having a known problem.  Bottom line... get your tool fixed or throw it away.
