Simple caddy made out of scrap plywood for basic finish carpentry and cabinet install hand tools.

Made some of the holes with the domino and spade bits. Good way to kill part of a Sunday!

I could have packed this a little more but I dont like to move something to get to something else.

would love to see some other ideas out there, this is the 2nd generation

once I figure out more stuff in the field maybe will make it with a little aesthetic appeal.

tools that fit the caddy: some of these are not in the pic but everything fits like a bug

I like it!  I've been putting some thought into something similar and possibly incorporating the CXS into it as well. I'll have to mess around when time allows!

Great job!

Nice job!  I have been looking at everyone's fantastic tool caddies, the official Festool caddy, and other ideas, and I came up with mine.  It is HEAVY, but it holds just about everything I need.

Here's all my stuff on the table:
[attachimg=1]

I have slots for:
First Aid Kit (green Sys Mini)
hammer
mallet
2 Festool clamps
Lineman's pliers
End cutters
Needlenose pliers
Tin Snips
Dykes
Wire Strippers
C- Wrench
Tri-Square
Speed Square
3 chisels
2 screwdrivers
Scissors
Paint Brush (for dusting)
Torpedo Level
Allen Key Set
Tape Measure
Utility Knife
Back saw (I had to cut about ½" off the handle, but it doesn't affect usage)
90º Screwgun chuck
Nailsets
Mini Screwdriver Set
Flashlight
5-in-1
Folding Rule
Chalk Line
Steel Rule
6" crow bar
16 oz. Glue Bot

It all fits nicely.

I built it for a Sys-IV, but needed the SYS for other things, so I moved into a SYS-V.  I put a couple of 3" rails in the bottom, so now I can fit:

Caulking Gun
Metric and Imperial nut driver sets
Extra pencils and glue brushes
Jab saw for drywall
Big ChannelLocks

on the floor of the SYS under the caddy.

It all closes, and I swapped my MFT top to the Hand Tool SYS so I can be entirely self contained in one box if need be!

I have a terrible Sys addiction.  I think my next project will be all my Makita cordless stuff into a couple of Sys 3's, or maybe that Sys MAXI I barely use. [big grin]

Hmmmm, looks like you've done a lid swap for the Sys-MFT also?

Seth

that is genius! I'm totally doing a lid swap when my new order arrives with a sortainer 5.

Nicely done! The scary thing about your systainer is I carry half of that in my tool belt everyday!
