Just finished a toy box for my son. It was a good "learning" project and a chance to use my new Leigh D4r pro dovetail jig and Domino 500. The box is made out of white pine and finished with GF water based stain and high performance top coat.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

Nice!  Is there anything to keep the top from smashing down on their little heads and fingers?  Something I learned the hard way after building my first toy box.

So how do the toys stay in it?  [blink]

Seriously, nice looking project. Toy boxes are a great project for learning projects as the end users really don't pay much attention to the details of how it is constructed.

Yes, there are two torsion hinges that hold the lid open at any position. They actually require you to push the lid down to close it.
