Chuck Berry RIP

Chuck Berry - truly one of the All-Time-Greats!  Grew up listening and dancing to his music.  Believe it was on American Bandstand when I first saw him crouch, stick one leg out and hop across the stage.  Also saw him perform with Bo Diddly - now that was wild.

One of the great things about musicians, their music survives long after they are gone.  Johnny Be Good.

He was truly a legend.  It has been amazing to hear the likes of Jagger and Dylan talk about what an influence he was on their careers and the whole genre.  I am old enough to have been around when rock started and became popular over the years.  He was one of the few whose lyrics were as good as his playing.

The following is a link to an article on the front page of the LA Times yesterday:

He will definitely be missed.

Always enjoyed him. I remember when he was a regular on Dick Clark's  New Years eve about 35 years ago.
