Does anyone have a recommendation for high-quality, high-leverage, clamping knobs to be used with Bessey surface clamps on an MFT/3? I bought the Veritas MFT/3 clamping set, but the knobs literally turn inside out when under stress.

Thanks

Woodpeckers makes some really nice, large and of course easy to see red.  I found some at woodcraft

I did a review on that kit and the clamping knobs that come with it are a joke! I use bolts with fender washers and that works well and is cheap too!

If you call Festool Service/Parts, you can get the M8 knobs (the kind that come with the clamping elements) for about $4-5 each.

I have the bessey toggle clamps with the plates and use the Festool knobs. I Have the part number at home on the invoice if you can't find it But they are about £4 each.

Hey Jimmy

Was it difficult using your TS55 and track on the underside of your MFT?  I've only seen it used on the top of the MFT!!!
Of course, I kid!!!!!

The Festool knobs are about the best. Worth the couple of bucks. I have tried several others and the size of the Festool ones give you enough leverage

Pretty easily in fact. I will upload a how to vid soon  [wink]

I bet it would be easier with the Makita track saw since it has the extra tab on the rail to keep the saw from tipping out.

^ just bought 4 of these.  I'll use for small fences (ex drill press) where it's tight quarters. Thanks John H.

When they arrive I'll report on their sturdiness (for the task posed by they OP).

I've used the woodpecker knobs before but wasn't to impressed. Aw you referring to the "multi-knob"?
