I'm building kitchen cabinets from 3/4 hardwood. How close can a Domino be to an outside edge and still be structurally viable. I think my design is cutting it a little close.[attachimg=1]

I would say that 1/8" is cutting it too close. You would probably have glue forced out through the surface with it that close.

I'd prefer the spacing from the edge be at least the width of the domino to be used.

Agree with CRG, but if you don't have any great options to avoid it, you could always shave the ribs off the dominos before you tap em in.

You could also switch to 5mm Dominos.
