CMS Blade Question

Seriously thinking of getting the CMS base unit and insert for the TS55 or might go the Dewalt portable route - delayed this purchase long enough.

Back on point, I have the 48t blade and 28t multipurpose blade. I know the 12t panther is meant for ripping.
In thinner material up to say 12mm, can I get away with ripping using the 28t blade or do I need the 12t panther right off the bat?
Or can I get the blade later when its time to rip thicker material?

Thanks

Either blade will cut through most 12mm materials with ease. Although the Panther is optimised for ripping, many people get along with the standard blade without major issue.

I have a TS 75 in my CMS, I was using the combo blade. It gave a much nicer cut but had a lot slower feed rate and at times seemed like it struggled a bit going through hard wood. I swapped it for a 28 tooth panther now it goes through everything very easily

Thanks for the feedback guys appreciate it.

My supplier just sent me the quotation for the CMS items and the Dewalt dw745+roller stand.
The base CMS is more than the dewalt saw+stand [jawdrop]...in for a penny in for a mortgage I guess
