Hi All, I know there is quite a bit of discussion on the CMS with an Incra positioner, but it appears that most are using the cms for an MFT or couple the CMS-GE to an MFT.  I am wondering how I can mount the positioner directly to the VB extension?  Pictures will be helpful. Thanks!

have you tried the search function? I dont know much about what your asking but I tried the search function key word INCRA and I got a lot of info.

Hi George, I saw that post already.  Seems quite nice but the kit is not for sale and the picture don't give a clear indication as to how it mounts to the CMS.  Thanks for the input!  I will keep pondering till I figure something out.  The Incra will be great for both the ts-75 module and the router table, helping speed up change overs. Cheers,
Abe

I have my Incra fitted with short headless dogs that just drop into the holes on the MFT. I don't use Incra's Precision Plate as I made my own dogs that fit.

It can be removed when not needed and replaced in seconds.

The MFT is clamped to the CMS by a pair of threaded rods and nuts in the T slots.

It's not a CMS - it's a Precisio CS 70. It wouldn't work for the CMS.

If you really want the Incra LS on a CMS-GE, then you'll need to create something yourself. I'm not aware of anything available for purchase that would allow it. There is a base for use with the MFT that makes use of the 20mm holes, but nothing for the CMS-GE.

You could attach it to an extension table by drilling and bolting through the aluminium I guess?

Do you have pictures of how you bolted the CMS to you MFT?  I was trying to avoid that, but worse comes to worse I could mount the MFT to the CMS.  Cheers,
Abe

Thanks for the Clarification on that one Gary.  If I figure something out this weekend I will let you know. Cheers.

It's just two lengths of allthread and four nuts and washers on each. The allthread is set with a nut on each end and this is inserted into each of the T tracks on the side. A second nut is then spun from the centre of the allthread to clamp the allthread to each of the T tracks.

You choose whatever length of allthread suits your requirement, mine was 5/16" allthread about 5" long. Can't show a picture cause they are not currently connected.
