CMS Inserts In Canada?

Why festool dosen't offer the CMS insert in Canada? I would like to buy the Ts55 and the carvex insert.

Is it in festool plans to bring it in North America?

Festool doesn't support any of the CMS inserts in North America except for the router insert for the 1010 and 1400 routers.  As of the current time there is not an anticipated or announced date for offering any of the other inserts.

Not speaking on behalf of Festool here, but it is commonly believed that product liability & UL issues are the reason.

Is there a way to buy any naina inserts (I dont care about voiding my warranty lol what a piece of metal can do  [tongue] and if it safe for europe its enought safe in here)... In fact, I want  the ts55 insert and I have the full cms kit so I have the fence and the scale. Maybe I dont need the kit and its easyer to get the pieces from the Ekat store?

The only reason that I have not purchased the CMS is that that we can't purchase inserts for the circular saw and the jig saw in Canada.

Of course the inserts are safe.  If they were not, Festool would not make them.  I believe that the standards for tools in Europe are much better than those in Canada.

I may have a family member going to Europe and I am considering going "Naina" to enhance my CMS.

What does the CMS ts55 insert cost in Europe (I already have the full CMS-vl set so assume I only need the plate for the ts55)?

Also anybody know what the carvex insert costs as well?

Here are the following prices according to Gerschwitz Germany.
- CMS CMS-PS #561262  €167 incl. 19% MwSt.
- CMS TS 55 R #570281  €319 incl. 19% MwSt.
- CMS TS 55 #493359    €319 incl. 19% MwSt.
These might be a little cheaper in the UK, but it gives you a good impression.
