I have just about talked myself into buying a CMS set.

My MFTs have leg braces that increase stability. Anything like that for the CMS?

I'll get a dedicated  Festool vac for the CMS. Which one is best? It will be located under the CMS. I assume the split hose that comes with the CMS plugs directly into the vac.

The Y-hose does indeed plug directly into the VAC-port. You should look at the lowest profile VAC's if you really are going to squeeze one under the CMS. Its not that large... I wouldn't try to stuff my CTL26 under it at least.

You'll may need to go with a CT-22 or 26 due to how the inlet on the Midi or Mini won't easily accomodate the Y-fitting of the CMS dual hose setup.

I seem to recall that someone here on the FOG did take the top off the Midi to allow a larger access area to the inlet, but can't find the thread.

Alternatively, you could go with a 50mm hose coming straight out of the Midi and then adapt that to the Y-connector.  But you'll probably want to cut the hose if you go that route.

Festool now sells an adapter hose ad-d36/cs50/cs70/cms to accommodate the use of the Y adapter with the CT Mini.

No. 499196

Not sure about American availability though.
