CMS/OF Insert/TS Insert or Planer Thicknesser

I have a CMS plus router and saw inserts and like them but I also want a planer thicknesser and have little room. Cost aside, if you could have EITHER a CMS as described OR a planer thicknesser, which would you prefer? I have tried to think through the different workflows but until I try the planer thicknesser, I can't easily predict just how useful I will find it.
