Hi First Post :)

Wanted to make a MFT type configuration on my bench / out feed table so I picked up the Jig from CNC design in the UK and set to work with the awesome OF 2200 router a 30mm bearing guide and 12.7 63mm bit. My bench top is basically constructed from a 44mm solid door blank so the holes to be routed were fairly significant, but no bother for 2200 connected to my midi there wasn't an ounce of dust after nearly 160 holes!!

Anyway I'm very happy with the finished result:

[welcome] to the FOG.

Nice stuff...I assume the 4 larger holes on the one end are to attach the vise to the bench?

What material is the door blank?

Thanks, the door blanks are faced with plywood and yeah the larger holes are for the vice.

What clamps will you use with that?  (They would appear to be too deep for Festool clamps.)

Nice looking top - do you need the holes to be aligned accurately or is it just a clamping and work holding platform?

Hi Peter,
Hopefully the holes will be accurate enough for my needs...time will tell  [big grin]

Your top looks too good for this but if you do need to use it for accurate rail and dog sawing then do a 4 cut test first. It is very difficult to get an accurate array of 20 mm holes suitable for nice square cuts.

Nothing of value to add to the post,
but what a picture.

It looks so calm and peaceful  the first shot.  It is an invite to do some nice woodworking.

Hi Peter
Could you give me a bit more detail on producing the four cut test because "line of sight" looks good?
Thanks

Hi Gerry

It is quite simple - here is my recent 4 cut test video:
