Hi All,
I am starting on a coffee table building project. I intend to use a mixture of "old school" and "new school" tools.
The general look or design that I am using is Craftsman style, with a few of my own ideas.
The pix below are of the legs. Because you have to start somewhere. I did the tapering using hand planes. (Old school style)
When the time comes for joining, I will be using my Domino 500. For finishing, I plan to use a smoothing plane for the table top, and my RO-125 for the balance.
Details: Swamp ash, cut to 1.75" square.
Issue: I am using a mid-level Sjobergs work table, and it moves a lot when planing. I will be taking my planes down to my local Festoons dealer, and I will see how the MFT holds up to my use (& abuse).
